Farben(colours) from India is a 12 page illustration book cum calendar with scenes which depict India on each page. The illustrations are hand drawn and later rendered on the computer. Each page is introduced with a small write up on the illustration which is printed on a gateway sheet. At the end of each month, the bottom part of the page could be torn off along a hand cut perforation line, and thus at the end of 12 months, one would have a 12 page illustrated coffee table book about India. If one really liked the illustration, he/she could tear it off along another perforation line at the top and frame it up to hang it on their wall.
Festivals and important days of India and Germany are marked on the dates with the respective flag colours, to give an idea of both the cultures and see which days are commonly celebrated in either of the countries. The entire book was handbound with paper cloth on hard covers and a letterpressed title in yellow on the front cover.
Done during the Kunstlerbucher course at FHH Hannover, Germany.
