During my time in the United States, I had the opportunity to attend and participate at a number of Hackathons and workshops in New York city. This gave me the opportunity to meet and work with some interesting minds and people from multiple disciplines – journalists, musicians, researchers, data analysts, food suppliers and designers.
1. Global Service Jam, ThoughtWorks, New York – I teamed up with Millicent Cooley and Simon Kwok, for the GSJ, a one day service design sprint, where were asked to design a service, which revolved around paper. We came up with a ‘used cardboard box share’ platform and made a quick prototype in axure. The prototype can be seen here and the entire presentation with the design process and our ideas here.
2. Microsoft – I was asked to work on a theme – To rethink E commerce by leveraging the power of social media. Here’s what I did.
3. Kayak – Kayak had asked me to redesign the ‘Price Trend’ feature on its website and to visualise how its interface would look if it had a movie metasearch feature. Here’s what I came up with.
