I worked with Studio Lotus, an architecture and interiors firm based out of New Delhi for my final year project. Lotus is one of the very few Indian multidisciplinary firms whose works seamlessly weave interior and exterior spaces, cutting across a multitude of disciplines. It was their 10 year publication showcasing all their work with pictures, drawings, 3d views, supported by stories of evolution of the firm with takes and opinions from different people who worked with them over the years.
The publication took 8 months to materialise and some of the main challenges involved were digging through terrabytes of data which were stored in highly complex folder structures over the last 10 years apart from developing content and creating a uniform visual language for the diverse set of projects, at the same time making the book stand out from conventional architectural publications.
The book is a huge respository of about 50 projects with personal takes of people who have worked on these projects. Also, the book talks about how the firm grew, in terms of numbers, the people, the office spaces etc., with the help of infographics and illustrated stories.
